What is cemented carbide
The main element in cemented carbide is tungsten carbide powder (WC), which is a hard metal cemented carbide with a high melting point. It is a cemented carbide alloy used for cutting and is created by sintering after a pressurized forming process by adding titanium carbide powder (TiC) and tantalum carbide (TaC) to the tungsten carbide powder in at the correct ratio depending upon the purpose. Cobalt (CO)--3~30%--is also added as a bonding agent. Tools made with cemented carbide are used for cutting. The hardness of the cemented carbide cutting tool is close to that of diamondit is used mainly for cutting and grinding other metals. In a given form, the blade of the cutting tools can be replaced easily with a blade made of cemented carbide or another highly durable material when it has worn out or been damaged. This form is called the 'indexable type'. For this type, the blade that replaces the used blade is called the 'insert tip'
Description of the items
Cemented carbide tools use a tip the blade of which is made of cemented carbide or another highly durable material whose hardness is close to that of diamond and used mainly in cutting other metals. Basic supplies include the Micro E/M (0.1R), a helical insert-type cutter essential for molding tools, a ball nose cutter and an end mill. The High Feed Drill, which is designed to have a unique clamping method and a structure of GST only, has a patented 'indexable type' tip replacement form. Convenience of use and cost effectiveness were enhanced by one step owing to the excellent chip treatment, reduced tip replacement time and reduced cost.
