Product application and features
Chip treatment in a wavy pull-line shape is excellent by means of the patented clamping method and the unique structural design that allows a high degree of precision. The service life of the product and cutting speed have been enhanced by approximately 20% compared to our competitors, owing to the use of the extremely strong insert tip. Moreover, since the clamping method by which only tip needs to be replaced has significantly shortened drill replacement time and the time needed for cutting, it ensures an excellent cost effectiveness.
High feed drill
This drill is new patent type as economical TIP exchangeable system.
GST's own unique clamping technique and structure make it possible to not only easilyan replace an insert, but also maintain consistent clamping force without compromising.(Patent pending)
- Designed for outstanding accuracy
- The wave edge best suited to chip mounting
- Possible to achieve better efficiency and cost reduction
- Stronger and longer lasting blade
- Excellence in the strength of the insert
- Available for re-cutting, if necessary
Insert shape
The erials ranging from materials with excellent weld-through adhesive resistance to various steels including mold steel, carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel, and cast iron.
Body's Features
The body is made of a special alloy cast iron featuring an excellent high temperature strength. In addition, a specially treated surface offers excellent corrosive and abrasive resistance. Because lubricative ability of the flute is good, chip is eliminated very well.
How to set the insert
- Remove the clamp screw when replacing the insert.
- Mount the insert while turning into the right and left after adjusting the insert's marked point to be in the direction of the screw head.
- Tighten the screw while pressing the end of the insert with fingers.
- Make sure the insert contacts the bottom (A) and side (B) of the holder.

Insert replacement caution
- After used, clean the holder insert flute using an air gun before mount a new insert.
- Avoid being exposed to any shock.
- The performance varies between 20~40% according to methods for re-cutting. If it is not re-coated, moreover, the performance will be more seriously detriorated and the chipping and damage will be caused.(For better performance, we recommend our own re-cutting and re-coating techniques)
- If you wish to do the re-cutting work, it is required to make the surface roughness of cutting edge be less than 1.5s, and the difference in height between both blades within 0.02mm.
